Whether you’re an infrequent user or are just always looking for the best value, buying a floor jack doesn’t have to break the bank. You can still find plenty of jacks with ample height range and lift capacity without having to spend a fortune. Almost any hydraulic jack will be a big improvement over the standard OEM scissor jack.
We have scoured the Internet for the best cheap floor jacks available for under $100 – Take a look at the best budget floor jack that you can purchase on the cheap so you can ensure you’re getting the most bang for your buck.
Top Pick:
Torin T82751 Pro Series 5500 Heavy Duty Floor Jack
This model by Torin frequently sells for around a hundred dollars but every now and then goes on sale. At its price point, it provides the best value that money can buy.
The 5.12-inch (ground clearance) to 19.3-inch (max height) model is a good value, however you can also purchase a 5.12-inch to 20.1-inch version for a bit more if you need slightly more lift. Whichever size you choose, this lift gives you a good amount of functionality and is an excellent value considering how inexpensive it is. This is not a low profile jack so keep in mind it may not work well for some of today’s low to the ground vehicles.
This model weighs in at about 78 lbs. yet still has a lift capacity of an impressive 2.75 tons as well as an excellent built-in safety overload system to ensure it never goes beyond capacity. Its wide stance means extra stability when you need it most, while steel casters provide a 360-degree swivel for extra maneuverability.
Relatively lightweight for a jack that provides a capacity of almost 3-tons, there are still some drawbacks to this particular model. It provides a lift height of only 19.3-inches, although many users claim that might not be an accurate number as it doesn’t seem to lift this high during practical use. There may be better 2-ton jacks on the market, but this model provides a great inexpensive floor jack that will come through when you need it to.

- Features a 3 ton (6,000 lb) capacity with a minimum lifting height of 5.5" and a...
- Safety bypass system prevents over-loading and ensures safe operation
Runner Up:
Pittsburgh Compact Aluminum Racing Jack
The great thing about this jack is not only its price, but also its incredible capabilities. With its knurled aluminum handle, aircraft aluminum billet, and lightweight design, you get a jack that provides you with great user functionality. Weighing only 31 pounds, this lightweight jack is one of the few you can keep in your trunk in place of an old scissor jack or to take to the track.
It also has a universal joint release mechanism, meaning that you get a smooth and rapid lift every time. We are also a fan of the special rapid pump feature, which allows you to lift your load in just a few easy pumps.
Users of this jack rave that it has surpassed their expectations when it comes to smaller, compact floor jacks. Along with a pair of jack stands, it will get the job done on any small or mid-sized vehicles with ease. The best part is of course the price – the 1.5 Ton Compact Aluminum Racing Jack with Rapid Pump typically sells for under $100, meaning you can get a great floor jack that won’t be over your budget. With that in mind, unless you have a small or compact car, you’d be best to consider at least a 2-ton model.
- Pit crew quality design, machined from lightweight aircraft aluminum with a...
- Industrial quality for professional mechanics and hardcore automotive...
- Rapid Pump exclusive dual parallel pump system lifts with far fewer pumps....

Hi Scott. If you have a Harbor Freight store nearby, you can sometimes get some really good deals on inexpensive floor jacks. Also, you may be able to find one at a garage sale or Craigslist much cheaper than brand new. Good luck!
